Conservice Congratulates Marcus Burrow on Earning Certified Energy Manager® (CEM®) Certification

Logan, UT – July 20, 2015 | Marcus Burrow, VP of Energy and Sustainability Solutions at Conservice, has recently earned the Certified Energy Manager® (CEM®) designation.  This distinguished achievement recognizes Marcus’ commitment to the industry and expertise in the management of energy, power, sustainability, and other related issues.

Mr. Burrow joined the Conservice team in 2011 where he manages all energy and sustainability operations.  With 10 years of experience in the energy industry, Marcus is a valuable resource for Conservice clients, providing energy procurement, conservation, expense management, and other solutions for multifamily, industrial, and commercial clients.  Mr. Burrow’s depth of experience and knowledge, coupled with his achievement of earning CEM® certification solidify his role as the energy expert for The Utility Experts®.

With energy efficiency continuing to gain momentum as a primary focus for all types of portfolios across the utility management industry, a Certified Energy Manager® becomes an essential cog in the process.  More and more communities are following in step with the City of Chicago and are mandating energy benchmarking.  Working with a Certified Energy Manager® allows benchmark communities to smoothly complete the entire ordinance process without the need to outsource for energy data verification.  Making sure that our clients' communities are energy efficient and compliant with all energy ordinance requirements just became easier thanks to the CEM®.

Established in 1981, The Certified Energy Manager® recognizes individuals within the Energy industry who have shown a commitment and dedication to their craft that surpasses the status quo.  As of 2013, The Association of Energy Engineers has certified over 26,000 energy professionals with only 14,000 being recognized with the CEM®.  Certified Energy Managers® must show expertise by meeting a list of work experience and/or educational qualifications approved by The Association of Energy Engineers.  This universally recognized accomplishment places those certified at the highest and most respected level of certification in the Energy Management industry.
